Dr. JP Psychiatry and Obesity Medicine is a self-pay practice that prioritizes removing third party involvement such as insurance companies from dictating your care. Your care is personalized to your needs with an emphasis on patient-physician relationship. Dr. JP requires that you must have an established PCP for coordination of care, as this will be necessary to craft best suited treatment plans for your health. All appointments must be made through the website as the practice does not take walk-in appointments. Extended weekday and weekend hours available.

A full assessment of symptoms, history, goals, and treatment options — including lifestyle strategies, therapies, medication, and cutting-edge interventional pathways when appropriate.

Interventional Psychiatry

Consultations for TMS, ECT, Ketamine and Esketamine.

Modern, evidence-based and research-supported options for patients who haven’t found relief through traditional treatments.


Evaluations include consultation, assessment and education for each modality. Treatments for ECT and Ketamine are not administered on-site, however, most ECT, Ketamine, Esketamine centers may do their own initial evaluations.TMS available on site.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Compassionate and informed care for ages 3-22. Support for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism, intellectual disability (developmental disorders), eating disorders, behavioral challenges and learning-related concerns

Legal guardian must be present for all visits in underaged patients or those lacking capacity. Proof of guardianship will need to be established prior to the first appointment. Example of legal guardianship paperwork would be any court ordered documents, federal or state issued documents, school admission documents, and PCP documents. All documents must have fully visible name of the minor and legal guardian.

Federal or state ID’s will be verified during appointment. Must have an established PCP for coordination of care.

Psychiatric Care for Women’s Health

Specialized support for mental health related to women’s health with hormonal transitions from menstruation, perimenopause, and menopause. Guiding women toward resilience, balance, and long-term wellbeing. Patients must have an OBGYN or PCP for medical coordination.

  • Initial consultation (up to 60 minutes)
    $650 on weekdays
    $750 on weekends

Obesity Medicine

A comprehensive evaluation of metabolic, and lifestyle factors impacting body composition. Includes goal-setting, education, and a personalised plan.

An established PCP is required for medical coordination.

Follow-Up Sessions

Telehealth and In-person visits in Virginia.
